Professional Musicians of the Inland Northwest, AFM Local 105 has more than 200 members. We are made up of symphony musicians, bands, teachers, studio players, and more. Our musical community is vibrant, with an active membership, and there are many ongoing performance opportunities throughout our region. Additionally, your Local works alongside a number of different local and national organizations: the Spokane Regional Labor Council, the Spokane Arts Council, the Future of Music Coalition, AFL-CIO, and others.

The American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada holds regional and national conferences to make sure that our Union truly represents the needs of musicians from all walks of life. These conferences are used to plan for the future, organize, and promote musicians' rights. In addition, the AFM represents musicians' needs to our nation's lawmakers, actively lobbies to promote legislation that protects musicians' interests, and works hard to get us great benefits that are only available to union members.

Members receive copies of the official publication of the AFM: International Musician, which highlights matters of interest to musicians both nationally and internationally. Our Local's newsletter, Repertoire, keeps you in the loop and lets you know what's going on in our region. Members also receive our weekly E-Newsletter which includes performance notices, messages from Local Officers, the At Liberty section, and articles written by Local members. Members also get member only access to the afm.org website, as well as the opportunity to advertise on the national stage at afmentertainment.org. Once you've officially joined AFM Local 105, we're happy to add you to our referrals list as well. Finally, there are many discounts available to you through our affiliation with Union Plus, from 30% off Dell and HP computers to saving $2 each on AMC movie tickets, and beyond.
